A song about temptation. The best thing I could imagine writing and the first song Sam I wrote together. I was in the thick of a new attraction that I had no control over, so that set the course for the lyric. This a lyric pounding at the door and came through me as "Eagle passing, just within my reach, souring straight through my heart." I couldn't talk about it yet, but Sam somehow knew exactly what I was holding in. Once we started, this song just wrote itself. I probably got the thing speaking by some acoustic guitar chords, and then Sam floats in like a tidal wave with these piano-chord inversions - we knew we would continue writing and be tied at the soul forever after writing this one.
